Event Preview:
USC Upstate track and field picks back up with the indoor season this weekend at the two-day VMI Invitational. The last time at VMI, 13 different Spartans put up outstanding performances both on the track and in field events, setting new school records and personal bests. Building off momentum already set in this indoor season from the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-Off, where 20 different Spartans set new personal bests. Freshman Laurin Hannibal looks to set another personal best in the triple jump and earn a top-five finish, along with senior Rachel Davis in the women's weight throw. Coming off a school record-breaking performance in the 600m, Elias Harrison will be a Spartan to watch for the 800m. Jamarcus Askew eyes to finish top five again in the triple jump. Â
