JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – USC Upstate women's golf began the spring season at the SeaBest Intercollegiate, held at San Jose Country Club. The Spartans finished 13th overall, shooting 316-298-314 for a total of 914.
Upstate's second-round score of 298 was a season-best, and after 36 holes, its combined score of 613 was two strokes lower than the previous best.
Junior
Rylie Kosney lead the way, posting scores of 75-73-73 for a total of 221. Kosney finished the tournament tied for 23rd out of a field of 80, shooting a total of six birdies across all three rounds.
Senior
Alexis Rieli finished in the top 50, improving by ten strokes from round one to round two, going 82-72-73 for a total of 227. Sophomore Suppatta Puttanavarat also improved her scorecard each round, shooting 85-75-74, including a total of four birdies.
UP Next for the Spartans
The Spartans have roughly three weeks until they compete in the Rivertowne Invitational in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
