CHARLOTTE, N.C. – With the official start of the 2025-26 season just under three weeks away, USC Upstate women's basketball's Cassie Gallager finds herself as a Preseason All-Big South selection, a Second Team selection. She joins former Spartan Trinity Johnson in 2023-24—also a Second Team selection—as the program's lone Preseason All-Big South selections since entering the conference ahead of the 2018-19 season.
In the league's annual preseason poll, Upstate finds itself picked sixth as selected by league coaches.

Named Big South Freshman of the Year … Named Honorable Mention All-Big South … Named to the Big South's All-Freshman Team … Named Big South Freshman of the Week on 11/18/24, 12/2/24, 1/6/25, 1/13/25, 1/27/25, and 2/17/25 … Appeared in all 30 games, making 29 starts … Averaged 10.0 points and 3.2 rebounds over an average of 28.9 points per game … Shot 33.7 percent (106-of-315) from the field, 33.1 percent (60-of-181) from beyond the arc, and 69.2 percent (27-of-39) from the free throw line … Corralled 96 total rebounds comprised of 25 offensive boards and 71 defensive boards … Totaled 32 assists, 13 blocks, and 12 steals on the season … Poured in a career-high 25 points behind a 9-of-16 (7-of-12 from three) shooting performance versus Longwood on 3/1/25 … Pulled in a career-high eight rebounds versus UNCG on 11/9/24 … Recorded 18 double-figure scoring games … Made her USC Upstate debut versus Kentucky on 11/4/24.
