Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Leading all Big South players in kills and points per set for matches played from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2, freshman outside hitter Summer Kohler captured her third Big South Freshman of the Week honor. She finished her week with 41 kills and 43.5 points, including a career-best 22 kills versus High Point. She enters Friday's match with a Big South leading an Upstate Division I era (2007-pres.) freshman record 330 kills, averaging 3.51 kills per set this season.
 
Gardner-Webb: A six-time and reigning Big South Libero of the Week, graduate student libero Nalani McBride leads the nation in total digs, plucking 590 balls this season. Averaging 5.67 digs per set, she ranks second in the NCAA in the category and enters after averaging 6.00 digs per set last week across three matches. She's reached double-digit digs in all 28 matches this year, reaching 20-plus kills in back-to-back matches.
 
Winthrop: Ranking behind Upstate's Kohler (330) and senior middle blocker Ady O'Grady (314), Winthrop's senior outside hitter Avery Jolley enters the weekend just shy of 300 kills, slotting third in the league with 299 kills on the year. She enters the weekend with a streak of four straight matches with 10 or more kills, reaching double-digit kills in nine different conference matches. She supplements her kill totals with 207 digs, 39 total blocks, and 23 service aces.
