SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Continuing home play at the G.B. Hodge Center, USC Upstate renews their Ingles I-26 Rivalry with UNC Asheville for the second time this season. The Spartans look to even the season series and snap the series streak where UNC Asheville currently has won the last four meetings.

Players to Watch  

USC Upstate: Carmelo Adkins comes into the matchup as the Big South Freshman of the Week where he averaged 17.0 Points through two games while shooting 45 percent from the field and shooting 47 percent from beyond the arc.  Adkins averaged a week high of 7.5 rebounds including add his career high of 11 rebounds and a double-double. From the three-point line, Adkins added his career high with five made three-pointers against Winthrop shooting 62 percent from beyond the arc. On the defensive end, Adkins grabbed his career high in steals with four against the Blue Hose. Adkins currently is the third leading scorer with 10.5 points per game and second on the team from three shooting 35 percent. 

UNC Asheville: Jordan Marsh continues to make a splash as a potential All-Conference player leading the Bulldogs in scoring with 18.7 Points per game and is second in the Big South. In Marsh's last outing at High Point, he posted his season high with 33 Points in 37 minutes. Marsh has posted two 30 point games on the season and seven 20 point games. In the January matchup against Upstate, Marsh added 21 Points in a 93-92 win shooting 6-for-16 from the field and 4-for-6 from beyond the arc. Marsh is currently ranked in the Top-50 in scoring in the NCAA at #47 and will look to continue climbing the ladder through the final stretch of the regular season.
