Henry Zenor Claims First Career Conference Weekly Honor with Big South Freshman of the Week Nod

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second time through the first four weeks of the 2025 season, USC Upstate baseball sees a player capture their first career conference weekly award as Henry Zenor earned a Big South Freshman of the Week nod with the league announcing its winners Tuesday morning.

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Zenor posted a .357/.400/.571 three-slash line over four games against ranked opponents, finishing the week 5-of-14 at the plate. Of his five hits, three went for extra bases, all doubles, while he produced two RBI and three runs. He closed his weekend with a pair of two-hit games—with a run and RBI in each game—versus No. 19 Troy, recording a double in each game, including a career-best two doubles in Sunday's series finale.

With his Freshman of the Week selection, Zenor joins teammate Max Kaplan (Starting Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 25) as Spartans claiming their first career conference weekly award. Zenor becomes the eighth different Spartan to claim Big South Freshman of the Week honors since Upstate joined the league ahead of the 2019 season.
