Players to Watch 

USC Upstate: Sophomore Infielder, Abby Polk is full of speed on base and disciplined in the infield. Abby Polk and Taliyah Thomas lead Upstate with 21 stolen bases and are tied first in the Big South. Polk is currently batting .330 with 29 hits, 29 runs scored, four doubles, two triples, .420 slugging percentage, and .449 on base percentage. Polk has taken a leap in her sophomore season as a dependable player that focuses on helping her team win at all costs. Abby Polk can cause opposing teams to adjust when she gets on base.  

Wofford: The Freshman Infielder, Brianna Stanley has appeared in 29 games and currently leads the Terriers with a .379 batting average while adding 33 hits, two doubles, 19 runs batted in, and four home runs. The duel of outstanding freshman players leading the charge at bat as Stanley added two multi-hit games against Furman to win the series over their opposing conference opponent. Upstate will have face four batters that are .300 in the batting average column including Stanley.  

Up Next for the Spartans 

Following the battle against Wofford, Upstate travels to Virginia for a weekend series against Radford serving as their second weekend series in Big South Conference play. Game one will begin Friday, March 28 at 4:00 P.M. Games two and three will follow on Saturday, March 29th at 1:00 & 3:00 P.M.
