SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Continuing the week of action, Upstate Softball returns to the Hawkins Field at Cyrill Stadium hosting Charleston Southern for Upstate's second consecutive Big South weekend series on their home field beginning Friday, April 11th and wrapping up with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 12th.

Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Freshman Infielder, Georgia Preddy has adjusted well through her Freshman year as a player that is willing to do whatever it takes to help her team. Preddy has appeared in 39 games adding a .295 batting average, 23 hits, five doubles, .359 slugging percentage, 19 runs scored, and 17 runs batted in. Preddy has constantly proved that she belongs on the big stage which displayed with a multi-hit game against Winthrop in the series clinching win and a season-high four putouts against No. 18 University of Georgia which helped send the Spartans to extra innings. Preddy looks to continue her solid play in front of the home crowd at the Cyrill Stadium through three games.
Charleston Southern: Sophomore Outfielder, Blakely Kingsmore has been a consistent contributor to the Buccaneers including a seven-game hitting streak with a season high of three hits against Queens on April 2, 2025. Kingsmore is second on the team with a .302 batting average while being tied first with 34 hits. Kingsmore also adds one double, one triple, five runs batted in, and .327 slugging percentage. Blakely Kingsmore has proven that she can contribute to helping Charleston Southern win and will look to snap the three-game series losing streak against Upstate.
