SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Returning to competition in the midweek for the first time in 14 days, USC Upstate baseball makes its first trip to Pantherville for the first time since 2012, travelling to meet Georgia State Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET. The Spartans seek an extension of their five-game winning streak in the series with the Panthers as Upstate owns a 5-0 advantage in the series overall.

USC Upstate: Posting his fourth instance of recording nine or more RBI in a three-game series, senior designated hitter Johnny Sweeney gained possession of the national RBI lead with 15 in three games against Longwood, giving him 76 on the year. The reigning Big South Player of the Week, he slashes .380/.512/.773 while leading the Spartans with 17 home runs and 30 extra-base hits.
 
Georgia State: With nearly two-thirds of his hits this season going for extra bases, senior outfielder Kaleb Freeman leads the Panthers across all three slash-line categories, posting a line of .350/.502/.732. The Auburn transfer ranks second in the NCAA in total doubles, legging out 24 on the season, and third in the nation in walks with 52.
