SPARTANBURG, S.C. – As the 2025-26 academic year and USC Upstate women's basketball season draw nearer, head coach Jason Williams welcomes Zoe Richardson to the Spartan program for the 2025-26 season.

Transferred to USC Upstate after spending her freshman season (2024-25) at Siena … As a freshman, appeared in 14 games, making two starts … Averaged 1.4 points and 0.4 rebounds over an average of 6.3 minutes per game … Shot 29.2 percent (7-of-24) from the field and 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from beyond the arc … Corralled six total rebounds comprised of four offensive boards and two defensive boards … Totaled three assists, one block, and one steal on the season … Poured in a career-high six points behind a 2-of-5 (2-of-5 from three) shooting performance versus Cornell on 12/30/24 … Pulled in a career-high three rebounds versus Army on 11/6/24 … Attended Hoosac School (Hoosick, N.Y.) … Helped the Owls rank sixth in the final New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Rankings in 2023-24 … Helped Hoosac to the NEPSAC playoffs for the first time in program history in 2023-24 … Attended Westlake Girls High School (Auckland, New Zealand) … Competed in volleyball, soccer, cricket, and rugby at WGHS … Competed in netball, cricket, soccer, field hockey, volleyball, water polo, and taekwondo in her youth … Helped the Swan to a National High School Championship in basketball in 2023 and a National Volleyball Junior Championship in 2021 … Competed for Basketball New Zealand's National 3x3 and National Tournament teams … Competed for the Albany Capitals on the AAU circuit … Her twin sister, Hannah, plays collegiate basketball at Lipscomb.
