Players to Watch

Upstate: The Spartans look to carry momentum from the historic 2024 season into 2025. Upstate has key pieces returning this season for both offense and defense, including 2024 Big South Offensive Player of the Year Dara Russo, who led the team in goals, points, and shots. Paige Armstrong and Audrey Baer return to the midfield for the Spartans, while Adrianna Pepe, Savannah Noll, and Catarina Dantas return to the backline.
 
Elon: Midfielder Ashlee Brehio returns for the Phoenix, finishing the 2024 season with five goals and two assists. Defender Rachel Buckle returns to the backline for Elon along with starting goalkeeper Katie Bisgrove.
 
UP Next for the Spartans
The Spartans have one final exhibition against Charlotte set for August 10 in the Queen City. Just four days later, Upstate will face the Wofford Terriers to officially open the 2025 season.
