Players to Watch

Upstate: The Spartans look to carry momentum from the historic 2024 season into 2025. Upstate has key pieces returning this season for both offense and defense, including 2025 Big South Preseason Forward of the Year Dara Russo, who led the team in goals, points, and shots. Paige Armstrong and Audrey Baer return to the midfield for the Spartans, while Adrianna Pepe, Savannah Noll, and Catarina Dantas return to the backline. Dantas was most recently named 2025 Big South Preseason Defender of the Year.
 
Charlotte: The 49ers have several new faces that join the program for the 2025 season. Midfielder Reese Black returns for Charlotte, who last season was second on the team in shots with 21.
 
UP Next for the Spartans
Upstate will travel to Wofford, facing the Terriers to open the 2025 campaign on August 14 at 7:00 pm.
