SPARTANBURG, S.C. - As Upstate Men's Basketball prepares for the season opener in the Golden State on Monday, November 3rd, the back half of the 2025-26 men's basketball schedule with conference play in the Big South has officially been announced with the first day of conference play opening before the new year rolls around.
Upstate Men's Basketball will have the opportunity to open conference play at the G.B. Hodge Center hosting Radford on Wednesday, December 31st. With a new year, same goal mindset for the Spartans, Upstate will take a quick trip to Clinton, South Carolina for a Saturday Road battle at Presbyterian College. With a mid-week bye, Upstate will return to the court for the following weekend as Winthrop comes to town on Saturday, January 10th. The following week, Upstate begins their two-game road trip heading to Charleston Southern Wednesday, January 14th and ending the weekend with a Saturday contest at High Point University. The Ingles I-26 Rivalry: Basketball edition will commence with highly anticipated action in the G.B. Hodge Center on Wednesday, January 21st. With a quick turnaround going into the weekend, the Spartans hit the road for a weekend duel in Boiling Springs, North Carolina taking on Gardner-Webb on the 24th. Rounding the month of January, Upstate will host Longwood Thursday, January 29th with this matchup scheduled to take place on ESPNU with a taste of the national stage.
February opens quickly with the second half of Big South action taking place with the second round of the Ingles I-26 Rivalry commences in Asheville, North Carolina on Wednesday, February 4th. The following two matchups will feature the Spartans returning to home play hosting Charleston Southern, Saturday, February 7th followed by High Point coming into the G.B. Hodge Center on Thursday, February 12th. With a push getting closer to the Big South Tournament, the Spartans enter the week with a road trip to Rock Hill taking on Winthrop, Thursday, February 19th on ESPNU followed by hosting Presbyterian College on Saturday, February 21st. The final week of the regular season play features a quick turnaround traveling to Virigina for their second matchup at Radford on Thursday, February 26th and returning home for their final regular season home game with Gardner-Webb on Saturday, the 28th. The Big South Men's Basketball Championships will be held in Johnson City, Tennessee from March 4-8 at the Freedom Hall Civic Center.
