Reigniting matchups with six Opponents, and two new Power-Four highlighting the mix, USC Upstate Men’s Basketball Reveals 2025-26 Non-Conference Schedule

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Entering another chapter in the Marty Richter era, Upstate Men's Basketball will feature 15 non-conference games with seven home games and eight road games with Power-Four programs along with programs who made their way to the 2025 NCAA Tournament to bring some great experience to Upstate before entering conference play.

The Hub City community will have a chance to embrace the Upstate Men's Basketball program once again on October 2 with a new spin to the event at a new location at Fifth Third Park which hosts the Minor League Baseball Team, Hub City Spartanburgers. The event plans to bring the community together even stronger while giving the fans a chance to get a first glimpse of the men's and women's basketball programs at Upstate.

The 2025-26 season will officially tipoff with two games in the Golden State as the Spartans open on the road at California Baptist on November 3rd and Fresno State, November 5th. November 8th will bring much excitement to the G.B. Hodge Center as Upstate returns to the Palmetto state with a home opener against Southern Virginia followed by their second home matchup against Bob Jones University.

As the experience grows, Upstate will have a test on the road against a Coastal Athletic Conference champion and 2025 March Madness participant in UNC Wilmington on Nov. 15. The following week will progress with a multi-team event (MTE) for the fourth straight season, hosting Tennessee Tech Nov. 19 at the G.B. Looking to feast during Thanksgiving week, Upstate hosts NC Central Nov. 25 and rounds out the month on the road taking on Big 10 opponent, the University of Nebraska on Nov. 29.

Opening the month of December, the Spartans return to their homecourt for a two-game homestand hosting Coastal Carolina Dec. 3 and Western Carolina Dec. 6. With a week of preparation continuing the journey, the Spartans hit the court for a two-game road trip beginning on Dec. 13 in Chapel Hill against the University of North Carolina followed by an afternoon game on Dec. 16 at SC State.

Upstate will close non-conference play hosting Southern Wesleyan on December 17th followed by a trip to Ohio taking place December 20th against Youngstown State.
