Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Fashioning four matches hitting .500 or better (min. 12 kills)—the most of any player in the league—senior middle blocker Ady O'Grady enters the weekend as the Big South's leader in hitting percentage, ranking 36^th in the NCAA in the category. She's accrued 10 or more kills in eight of the Spartans' 10 matches this season, placing third in the conference with 120 terminations on the season. Last Saturday against Elon, she moved past former Spartan Kayla McAvoy on the program's Division I era (2007-pres.) career kills list, slotting fifth in the era.
 
Northern Arizona: Headlining a Lumberjack unit ranked eighth in the country in opponents' hitting percentage, redshirt sophomore middle blocker Gigi Greenlee leads the Big Sky and ranks top 25 in the nation in blocks per set and total blocks. She enters Thursday's match with three or more total blocks in all nine matches this season, six times registering five-plus total blocks. Greenlee totals 47 blocks (10 solo blocks and 37 block assists) at an average of 1.52 per set, ranking 21^st and 14^th in the NCAA in the two categories, respectively.
 
South Carolina: Captaining a defensive unit that ranks second in the 16-team Southeastern Conference in total digs, sophomore libero Victoria Harris ranks third among league players in total digs, scooping 138 on the season. She's in the midst of a three-game stretch with 20 or more digs entering Friday's match, upping her season digs per set average to 3.83, a total that ranks ninth in the SEC.
 
The Citadel: Leading the Bulldogs offensively, graduate student outside hitter Savannah Freeman posts 50 kills at an average of 2.27 kills per set in 2025. The Charleston Southern transfer features on match this year with double-digit kills, earning a 15-kill, 16-dig double-double against her former club.
 
Up Next for the Spartans
Following the completion of the program's non-conference schedule Saturday, USC Upstate opens Big South Conference play on Sep. 26 with a trip to Asheville, N.C. The Spartans face UNC Asheville in the first of two meetings in the Ingles I-26 Rivalry Series, beginning with a 6 p.m. ET first serve.
