USC Upstate: Sophomore Guard, Carmelo Adkins continues to improve across the board, ranked third on the team with 13.1 points per game. Adkins is a player that is willing to be ready to catch and shoot, be a primary ball handler or defend in the post. Adkins adds 4.7 rebounds per game, while marking two games with eight rebounds. Adkins is shooting 40 percent from the field, 36 percent from beyond the arc, and leads Upstate with an 82 percent free throw percentage. In 18 games played, Carmelo Adkins has only had four games not scored in double figures. As Upstate battles Charleston Southern, Carmelo Adkins will look to add his impact on the court.
Charleston Southern: Redshirt Junior, Brycen Blaine leads the Buccaneers with 17.1 points per game, including the second highest scoring total in a game in the Big South with 42 points against The Citadel.
