FARMVILLE, Va. - Rounding out the week, Upstate Men's Basketball traveled to Farmville, Virginia to battle Longwood in Saturday afternoon action where the Lancers overcame the Spartans in overtime with an 82-75 final.
Karmani Gregory led with 23 points, marking his eighth 20+ point performance on the season. Gregory added three rebounds, one assist, one block, and two steals. Mason Bendinger followed with 19 points shooting 7-for-19 from the field and 2-for-4 from beyond the arc. Following a 19-point performance, Bendinger led Upstate with a new career high of nine rebounds, leading the Spartans. Carmelo Adkins rounded out the double figure scorers with 13 points and eight rebounds being second on the team in rebounds. Longwood outdueled Upstate from beyond the arc shooting 62 percent from beyond the arc, compared to Upstate's 30 percent. The Spartans won the rebounding battle with 41 team rebounds (13 offensive and 28 defensive) to Longwood's 36 rebounds (12 offensive and 24 defensive).
