No. 64 North Florida Sweeps Spartans, 7-0

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - No. 65 University of North Florida won all nine matches to take a 7-0 decision from the USC Upstate women's tennis team in Atlantic Sun Conference action on Friday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Complex.

The Spartans fall to 10-3 overall and 4-2 in the A-Sun and the Ospreys improve to 16-1 overall and a perfect 7-0 in the A-Sun.

Upstate's duo of junior Emilia Milovanovic and freshman Simona Cacciuttolo nearly won the doubles point, falling in the superset tiebreaker, 9-8 (5) to Danielle Day and Melanie Aguirre. In singles play, Cinthya Lazaro also forced a tiebreaker at No. 5 singles before falling to Aguirre, 6-3, 7-6 (4).

The Spartans play their final match of the season away from the friendly confines of the USC Upstate Tennis Complex at Jacksonville at 10 a.m.
