TULSA, Okla. – On Saturday three different USC Upstate men's tennis players advanced to Sunday's round of pre-qualifying at the ITA All-American Championships at the University of Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Edgar Rodriguez opened the tournament with a 7-6, 6-4 victory over Soren Goritzka of Texas-Arlington.  In the second round, Rodriguez again won in straight sets as the Upstate senior claimed a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Utah's Alejandro Medinilla.

Like Rodriguez, fellow senior Ramiro Blanco also claimed a pair of straight sets victories Saturday.  Blanco defeated Texas A&M's Jordan Szabo, 6-4, 6-4, in the first round.  Later in the day, Blanco claimed a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Joseph Hattrup of SMU in round two.
