ELON, N.C. – Spartan teammates Hannah Al-Sakati and Julie Bell advanced to the championship match in A-2 Doubles at the Elon Fall Invitational.

USC Upstate women's team members Al-Sakati and Bell advanced to the final with an 8-2 victory over Zoe Hamel and Christine Boissevain of UNC Asheville.  The Spartan pair will face Frida Jansaker and Bryn Khoury (Elon) tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.

Al-Sakati fell one match shy of advancing to the A-3 singles championship.  The Spartan rookie defeated Anais Gomar of Campbell in the quarterfinals, 6-3, 6-3.  In the semifinals, Al-Sakati fell in straight sets, 2-6, 4-6, to Elon's Barbora Lazarova.

In A-1 Singles, Isabel von Stryk dropped her quarterfinal match to Elon's Bryn Khoury.  Von Stryk dropped the three set thriller by a score of 2-6, 6-4, 2-6.
