DAVIDSON, N.C. – On Saturday, the USC Upstate men's tennis team fell on the road at Davidson, 5-0, at the Knoblock Tennis Center.
In doubles action the team of Matias Di Pasquale and Marco Inconir defeated Connor Evins and Kevin Moore, 8-5, but the Wildcats were able to claim the doubles point with wins in doubles #1 and #2.
In singles action, Gonzalo Blanco put up a fight in singles number one, but ultimately fell to Joe Schafer, 5-7, 3-6. Gianulca Paino also won multiple games but fell 3-6, 3-6 to Arie Hefter.
The Spartans will return to action tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m. when they host UNC Greensboro in the first home match of the season.
