SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team's match at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., has been moved forward by one day and will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
The match between the Spartans (0-2) and Blue Hose (2-0) was originally scheduled for Thursday afternoon but was moved due to the threat of snow in the area.
The Spartans opened the season with a loss at No. 11 Clemson on Jan. 22 and dropped their first home match on Sunday afternoon to Georgia Southern. Ana-Sofia Camberos picked up a thrilling come from behind victory over Georgia Southern's Allison Beeler. Camberos dropped the first set 2-6, but rallied to win the match with a second-set win (6-3) and won the tie breaker, 10-2.
Meanwhile, Presbyterian College downed Western Carolina, 6-1, in the season opener on Feb. 6 and then defeated Newberry, 7-0, on Monday afternoon.
Following tomorrow's match the Spartans will return to the courts on Feb. 16, when they host Anderson College 11:30 a.m.
