KENNESAW, Ga. – Karen Martinez claimed a straight set singles victory on Sunday, but it was not enough as Kennesaw State downed USC Upstate, 4-1, at the Fair Oaks Tennis Center.

Martinez was able to up-end Mackenzie Swindall at singles number three by a score of 6-4, 6-1. 

Talia Rojas battled at singles number four before ultimately falling to Agatha Palider, 6-3, 6-2.

Kennesaw State the doubles point after claiming doubles matches number two and three and the Owls were leading at singles number one before the match was halted.
