SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Campbell Friday at the Upstate Tennis Complex.
Due to strong wins, the match was delayed until 4:30 p.m. and the two teams played singles first, instead of the usual, doubles first.
The two teams battled to a 3-3 tie after the six singles matches.
Talia Rojas (singles No. 4), Ana-Sofia Camberos (No. 5) and Maria Tonani (No. 6) claimed singles wins for the Spartans. Camberos and Tonani picked up thrilling three-set wins.
Campbell was able to claim the match after claiming all three doubles matches Friday.
