JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The USC Upstate women's tennis dropped a 6-1 decision in Atlantic Sun Conference action at Jacksonville Saturday.
Upstate's Julie Bell and Hannah Al-Sakati picked up a 8-4 victory at doubles No. 2, but the Spartans were unable to pick up the doubles point as Maria Tonani/Ana-Sofia Camberos fell 9-7 (No.3) and Talia Rojas/Isabel von Stryk dropped their match (8-2, No. 1).
Camberos was the only Spartan to win a singles match Saturday. Camberos rallied for the win after dropping the first set, 0-6. She claimed set two, 7-5, and won the decisive third set, 6-0.
