SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team was unable to pick up a weekend sweep as visiting Stetson claimed a 4-3 victory Saturday afternoon at the Upstate Tennis Complex.

Upstate dropped the doubles point as Stetson claimed victories at doubles No. 2 and No. 3.

The Spartans rally fell just short as the Spartans managed to pick up just three singles victories Saturday.

Isabel von Stryk picked up a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Sara Lazrevic at singles No. 1.  Ana-Sofia Camberos and Maria Tonani also picked up straight-set wins during the match.  Camberos claimed a 7-5, 6-4 victory at singles No. 5, while Tonani was victorious 6-2, 6-1 at singles No. 6.

The Spartans will return to action next weekend when they travel to the Music City to face A-Sun foes Belmont and Lipscomb.
