NEW ORLEANS – Competing in its first of three matches in the state of Louisiana, the USC Upstate women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at No. 58 Tulane Sunday at the Goldring Tennis Center.
Tulane (10-2) claimed the doubles point after claiming all three matches by a score of 8-2.
Isabel von Stryk led Upstate (2-6) as she claimed five games at singles No. 1 Sunday. Meanwhile, Julie Bell picked up four games at singles No. 2.
Maria Tonani's two-match win streak (singles) ended with a 6-0, 6-0 loss at singles No. 6.
The Spartans will now travel to Hammond, La., for a Monday evening match at Southeastern Louisiana.
