Johnson City, Tenn. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team lost 7-0 at East Tennessee State on Saturday at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex.

Lyn Yee Choo and Ana Gerbasi defeated Anna Zoske and Carol Sigaki 6-3 at the top doubles position. The Buccaneers won the second and third doubles matches by 6-0 scores.

Choo defeated Zoske 6-2, 6-3 at the first singles position. Regina Nychytailova was a 6-4, 6-1 winner over Filippa Ericson at number two singles Melissa Esguerra defeated Vale Zarama 6-0, 6-2 at number three singles while Marina Espana defeated Sigaki 6-3, 6-0 at the number four position. Yi Chi Ma won the match at the number five position 6-1, 6-0 over Anna Nemeth. Jayde Viccara won number six singles 6-3, 6-3 over Ruby Kubac.

Upstate travels to Gardner-Webb on Friday at 2 p.m.
