Conway, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team lost to Coastal Carolina 6-1 in a non-conference match on Friday at Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex.

Coastal Carolina improves to 10-3 while Upstate falls to 0-13.

The Chanticleers claimed the doubles point with wins at number two and number three doubles. Filippa Ericson and Carol Sigaki were leading 4-3 in their number one doubles match before it was stopped.

Ericson claimed Upstate's lone match of the day at number two singles as she defeated Natalie Wall 6-2, 6-4.

Upstate hosts Presbyterian on Monday at 3 p.m.
