Boone, N.C. - The USC Upstate women's tennis team lost a 4-0 decision at Appalachian State in non-conference action Friday at the Yonahlossee Racquet Club.

Appalachian State improves to 3-5 while Upstate drops to 0-10.

Appalachian State claimed the doubles point after 6-3 victories at the number two and number three matches. Anna Zoske and Filippa Ericson held a 4-3 lead at number one doubles when their match was stopped. In singles play, the Mountaineers claimed the first three courts to claim the match.

Upstate travels to Charleston, S.C. next week for a pair of matches. The Spartans face College of Charleston on Tuesday before facing Charleston Southern on Wednesday.
