Charleston, S.C. - The USC Upstate women's tennis team lost 7-0 to College of Charleston in a non-conference match on Tuesday. College of Charleston improves to 9-3 while Upstate falls to 0-11.
College of Charleston clinched the doubles point with wins at the number one and three positions. Mara Argyriou and Katherine Schofiel defeated Anna Zoske and Filippa Ericson 6-1 at number one doubles while Brooke McAmis and Helena Nyikos were 6-0 winners over Ruby Kubac and Anna Nemeth at number three doubles.
The Cougars clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number three singles. Ericson dropped her number two singles match in three sets, falling to McAmis 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8).
Upstate stays in Charleston to take on Charleston Southern on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
