Fort Myers, Fla.- The Florida Gulf Coast women's tennis team defeated USC Upstate by a 7-0 score in Atlantic Sun conference action on Saturday afternoon at the FGCU Tennis Complex.

Florida Gulf Coast improves to 10-7 and 4-0 in league play while Upstate falls to 0-17 and 0-3.

The Eagles clinched the doubles point thanks to a 6-3 win at number three doubles and a 6-1 victory on the number two doubles court. FGCU also won the number one doubles match 6-3.

After winning the court six and five singles matches, the Eagles claimed the match thanks to a 6-2, 6-1 win at number two singles.

Upstate returns to action with two matches next week as the Spartans travel to Lipscomb on Thursday before hosting Kennesaw State on Saturday.
