Spartanburg, S.C. – Morgan Dodd claimed her fourth consecutive singles win but the USC Upstate women's tennis team lost to Florida Gulf Coast 6-1 in an ASUN Conference match at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex on Wednesday.

Florida Gulf Coast improves to 10-4 and 2-0 while Upstate drops to 2-16 and 0-3.

The Eagles claimed the doubles point thanks to a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles and a 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles. Filippa Ericson and Taylor Dodd claimed the No. 2 doubles match 6-2.

Florida Gulf Coast won the No. 1 through No. 5 singles matches. At No. 6 singles, Morgan Dodd was a 6-1, 4-6, 10-8 winner over Sophia Blanno.

Upstate returns to action next Thursday, traveling to North Florida for a 2 p.m. match.
