Asheville, N.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team had several strong performances at the WNC Mountain Challenge this weekend. The tournament was hosted by UNC Asheville at the Asheville Racquet Club and played against the host Bulldogs, Western Carolina and ASUN foe Kennesaw State.

Carol Sigaki won all three of her singles matches and teamed up with Vale Zarama to win two of three doubles matches. Gabriela Cevallos and Elin Hellberg each won two of their three singles matches. Hellberg and Taylor Dodd claimed two of their three doubles matches.

Upstate will host its second fall tournament, the USC Upstate Challenge, on October 7-8.
