Series History
This is just the third all-time meeting between USC Upstate and Eastern Kentucky. The Colonels won the first meeting 79-77 in Richmond, KY, before the Spartans evened the series last season with a 79-67 victory inside the G.B. Hodge Center. USC Upstate held Eastern Kentucky to just 17 first half points a season ago, as Everette Hammond led the Spartan offense with 27-points against the Colonels.

Ones to Watch
Upstate – Junior forward Bryson Mozone (North Augusta, S.C.) leads the team this season with 13.0 points per contest. The Palmetto State native ranks second in the Big South in three-point field goal percentage (.375) and he led the Spartans with a 17-point outing against Southern Wesleyan in the season opener. Nevin Zink (Newtown, Conn.) has started 66 games for the Spartans in his career and is currently averaging 10.5 points per game and a conference best 7.5 rebounds. Everette Hammond (Silver Springs, Md.) is averaging 8.5 points per game and a conference high 3.0 steals per contest. Starting point guard Dalvin White (Norcross, Ga.) is averaging a conference best 4.0 assists per game this season.
 
Eastern Kentucky – The Colonels have a pair of players this season that are averaging double-figure points. Tre King leads the team with 15.0 points per contest and a team best 9.0 rebounds per game. Wendell Green Jr. is second on the team with 10.5 points per game and he leads the team with 10 assists and 6 steals. Curt Lewis and Chelkh Faye are each averaging 8.5 points per contest, with Lewis hauling in an average of 6.0 rebounds per game.
