Series History
This is just the second All-Time meeting between USC Upstate and UNC Greensboro. The Spartans of Greensboro have won both meetings over the Spartans of Spartanburg. For the first time since 2007, USC Upstate will be traveling to the Greensboro Coliseum. UNCG won the last meeting in Greensboro 93-76 over USC Upstate. In 2009, UNCG traveled to the G.B. Hodge Center and walked away with a 76-70 win over USC Upstate. Upstate center Nick Schneiders led all scorers with 23-points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks in a loss to UNCG.

Ones to Watch
Upstate – Tommy Bruner (Columbia, S.C.) leads the team with 14.8 points per game and 27 assists on the season. Bruner is coming off his first 20-point outing of the 2020-21 basketball season. Bryson Mozone (North Augusta, S.C.) is second on the team with 13.5 points per game and has made a team best 18 three-point field goals this season. Everette Hammond (Silver Springs, Md.) is third on the team with 10.8 points per contest and is leading the team with 9 steals. Khydarius Smith (Fort Mill, S.C.) leads the team with 31 rebounds and 11 blocks this season.
 
UNC Greensboro – Isaiah Miller was named the SoCon Preseason Player of the Year, ESPN.com Mid-Major Preseason Player of the Year, Lou Henson Award Preseason Watch List, Stadium Preseason All-American, Blue Ribbon magazine SoCon Player of the Year and CBB Review 2^nd Team Preseason Mid-Major All-American. Miller leads the team with 21.2 points per game, 21 assists, 12 steals and a team best 31.6 minutes per contest. Khyre Thompson is averaging 8.8 points off the bench and 5.8 rebounds per game.
