Series History
Continuing its longest continuous series in the program's Division I era—meeting each season since 2007—USC Upstate hosts Gardner-Webb Wednesday night. Overall, the Runnin' Bulldogs lead the all-time series over the Spartans 12-2-1, but Upstate did capture last season's meeting with a 2-1 double-overtime victory in Boiling Springs.

Ones to Watch
Upstate: With senior night festivities taking place prior to Wednesday night's match, Upstate will honor senior defender Jacqueline Marshall. A key cog of the Spartans' defensive unit that has recorded five shutouts in 2021, she's appeared in all 12 games this season, making 10 starts. Marshall has played 752 minutes in 2021, posting four complete matches along the backline while placing all three of her shot attempts on goal.
 
Gardner-Webb: Goalkeeper Katelyn Kellogg enters Wednesday's match leading the Big South and ranked second in the NCAA in total saves, collecting 129 this season. She also ranks third in the country in saves per game, averaging 8.06 stops per contest, and has posted five matches with double-digit saves in 2021.

Following its match with Gardner-Webb, Upstate continues its three-game homestand with its penultimate match of the regular season. The Spartans host Campbell Saturday at County University Soccer Stadium with kickoff set for 5 p.m. ET.
