Series History
Saturday's meeting between Upstate and UNC Asheville marks the 10^th meeting between the two programs in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.). Following a draw in 2014, the programs have traded victories in each of the past four meetings, however, Upstate leads the all-time series 5-3-1 with the Spartans winning two of the three matches since joining the Big South in 2018.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Scoring six goals—three PKs—and tallying three assists this season, redshirt junior forward Mario Arrocha enters the weekend as Upstate's leading scorer with 15 points. His six goals rank third in the Big South while his 15 points rank fourth as the Spartans enter the final week of the regular season. Converting all three of his PK attempts in 2021, Arrocha owns the program's D1 era record for converted penalty kicks.
 
Asheville: Sophomore midfielder Conor Behan enters Saturday's match leading Asheville in scoring, posting seven points behind two goals and three assists. He leads the Bulldogs in shot attempts, taking 33 on the year with 17 falling on target as he ranks second in the Big South in shot accuracy (.515).
 
UP Next for the Spartans
Following the Spartans' final regular season home match, Upstate hits the road for the regular season finale, travelling to Presbyterian for a midweek match. Upstate meets the Blue Hose Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Clinton, S.C.
