BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Facing one of the nation's most high-powered offenses for the second time in as many matches, USC Upstate men's soccer held Campbell below its season scoring average as the two programs locked up Saturday night.
The Spartans' defense held Campbell to just four shots on goal in Saturday's match, holding the Camels' offense to its fewest shots on goal in Big South competition while holding Campbell to its third-fewest shot on goal attempts of the season.
Scoring a lone goal in the first half, Campbell secured a victory in a rematch of last season's Big South semifinal match, snapping a two-match positive result streak for the Spartans against the Camels with a 1-0 victory.

How It Happened
- 5' – Delivering a shot from roughly 30 yards out, Campbell's Jake Morris secured the match's first great look on frame as his attempt rattled the left post before pushing wide.
- 20' – After a flurry of Campbell shots through the first 20 minutes of the match, redshirt junior forward Mario Arrocha notched Upstate's first shot attempts, firing an attempt from outside the box that was saved near the right post.
- 28' – Firing a shot from inside the box, George Bediko broke through for Campbell as his shot attempt found its way into the back of the net to give the Camels a one-goal advantage off an assist from teammate Kemy Amiche.
- 45' – Looking for an equalizer late in the first half, sophomore midfielder Brody Williams delivered a shot from inside the box toward the right post before the attempt was thwarted via a diving save.
- 80' – Earning a touch inside the 18-yard box, sophomore midfielder Elias Ehlin spun and fired a shot that tracked toward the post before sailing wide as Upstate searched for a late equalizer.
- 87' – Still searching for the late equalizer, redshirt junior forward Javier Torres took a shot from just outside the box that sailed just high of the crossbar.
