Thursday night will be the 11th matchup between the Spartans and Blue Hose, dating back to 2008. Upstate owns the all-time series 6-4 and took four straight matches from PC from 2015-2018, but the Blue Hose took the most recent matchup between the two teams on November 1, 2019 in Spartanburg.

Ones to Watch
Upstate – Alexis Mareko has totaled 47 kills (1.7/set) on a .265 hitting percentage to pace the Spartans' attack, while also adding 29 blocks (1.1/set).

PC – Libero Anna Hewitt tops the Big South in total digs with 163, and is also pacing the conference in digs/set at 4.7. Senior middle blocker Allie Wright has racked up a league-leading 40 total blocks this season, and also sits atop the conference with 32 block assists.

UP next for the Spartans
The Spartans return to the Hodge Thursday and Friday, March 18-19 for a back-to-back series against UNC Asheville. Both matches are set for 6 p.m.
