SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate golf teams were back in action this weekend at the Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C.
"Both days were awesome," USC Upstate head coach
Todd Lawton said. "It was really exciting to play at our home venue against great teams."
The women's team held a stroke play event on Saturday afternoon and defeated both Gardner-Webb and Wofford College. Reigning Big South Freshman of the Week
Praew Nontarux (Lampang, Thailand) shot a team low 72.
The men's team played a modified stroke play/match play event against Wofford on Sunday afternoon. The Spartans held a 4-2 lead but ended up falling 5-4 to Wofford.
The USC Upstate women's golf team will be back in action at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate in Morganton, N.C. on April 4-6. The men's team will be back in action this coming weekend at The Hayt in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
