ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. –  USC Upstate men's golf heads down to Florida for the first tournament of the spring season. The Sea Best Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville University, takes place February 2-3.

Golfers to Watch:
Jackson Stone sits first in the Spartan lineup after a strong fall season, which included two top-five finishes and one top-15 finish. Stone led the Spartans in the last tournament of the fall, finishing the Fripp Island Intercollegiate with a score of 214 to tie for fifth. His best tournament score was a six-under finish at the Golfweek Fall Challenge.

Second in the lineup is Alec Prentice, who concluded the fall season with one top-five finish and two top-25 finishes. His best score this fall was a five-under finish at the Golfweek Fall Challenge.

About the Course:
Atlantic Beach Country Club is a championship golf course with a 6,815 yard par 71 layout. The course is steeped in history, having hosted the Greater Jacksonville Open where Jack Nicklaus recorded his first double eagle in tournament competition in 1966.
