Series History
After not meeting during the 2020-21 season, rivals USC Upstate and UNC Asheville renew their series with the 11^th all-time meeting in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.) Saturday. The Bulldogs lead the series 7-3 but the two teams split their two meeting during the 2019-20 season as each team won on its home floor.

Players to Watch
Upstate: In addition to hitting the game-winner that lifted the Spartans over High Point, senior guard Dalvin White has been instrumental to Upstate's success to begin Big South Conference play. Passing out 18 assists in league play, he leads the conference in the category while he is one of three Spartans averaging 14 or more points in league play, averaging 14.0 points per game.

Asheville: Scoring 23 points in an overtime clash with Winthrop Thursday night, forward Drew Pember upped his scoring average in conference play to 18.7 points, the leading scoring total for Big South players with more than one game played in league play. He also pulls in an average of 7.3 rebounds and 4.7 blocks per game in conference play, making him a threat on both ends of the floor.
 
UP Next for the Spartans
Following its road game at rival UNC Asheville, the Spartans stay on the road to begin the week with another rivalry game. Upstate heads to Gardner-Webb next Wednesday to wrap up the team's two-game road swing with a 7:00 p.m. tip from Boiling Springs, N.C.
