Series History
USC Upstate and Old Dominion have only matched up twice since their original meeting in 2012. During the 2012-2013 season, Upstate traveled to Norfolk, Va. For the first time and fell 77-46 for the first time. The Spartans returned to Virginia in 2020 where they fell 73-39 to trail the overall series 2-0.

Players to Watch
Upstate: After getting her first double-double of the year against UNCG, Isabella Geraci led the Spartans once again with 13 points along with two rebounds and one steal. Geraci went 5-8 for field goals, 1-1 for three pointers, and 2-2 for free throws. Tali Roldan also scored in double-figures as she posted a season high of 10 points as well as seven rebounds.
Geraci has started all six games for the Spartans alongside Talia Roldan, Cali Levine, and AC Markham. Nyla Walker has started five of the six games so far this season. Geraci leads Upstate with 60 points, averaging 10 points per game; she also leads Upstate with 41 total rebounds, averaging 6.8 rebounds a game.
Old Dominion: Against Temple three Monarchs scored in double-figures. Makayla Dickens let ODU and tied her season high of 18 points. Dickens also went 4-4 for free throws, had six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Amari Young also scored in double-figures while recording six rebounds and three steals as well as going 8-8 for free throws.
Jordan McLaughlin has started all seven of ODU's game alongside Amari Young and Kaye Clark. McLaughlin leads the Monarchs with 75 points while Young sits first for total rebounds (51).
UP Next for the Spartans
After playing Old Dominion, the Spartans will rest and recoup as they will play again on Monday, December 12th at 3:00 p.m. in the G.B. Hodge Center against Morehead State. Tickets for this game are not available as the Hodge Center is sold out for the Ingles Education Day presented by BASF.
