The Spartans seek revenge for an earlier-season loss to the Eagles, a 66-64 decision on Jan. 7 in which Winthrop staked the final margin in the final minute.

USC Upstate: Leading Upstate to a +18 mark on the glass in its victory against Presbyterian on Feb. 4, redshirt junior forward Vera Söderblom pulled in a career-best 16 rebounds versus the Blue Hose. Her total marked the highest single-game rebounding total by a Spartan in a Big South game since Jada Logan corralled 17 boards versus Longwood on Feb. 23, 2022. Söderblom enters Wednesday's game ranked fifth in the Big South in rebounding, averaging 6.9 boards per contest, totaling 165 rebounds in 24 games.
Winthrop: Registering her sixth 20-plus point scoring effort of the season, the Eagles' leading scorer, junior guard Amourie Porter, poured in a career-high 26 markers against Gardner-Webb Saturday. She finished the afternoon shooting 9-of-15 from the field and 3-of-4 from three against the Runnin' Bulldogs, chipping in nine rebounds for a near double-double. Porter averages 15.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Eagles.
