Series History
Meeting for the second time this season, Wednesday's meeting between USC Upstate and Longwood marks the 10
th all-time meeting in the series in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.). After meeting once during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons, the Spartans and Lancers have met seven times as Big South Conference foes. Upstate took the earlier season matchup 76-69 at Longwood on Jan. 19 to snap a five-game Lancer winning streak, pulling the series to 5-4 in favor of Longwood.

Upstate: Ahead of its final home game of the 2021-22 season, Upstate will honor its two seniors, forward
Molly Coleman and guard
Denijsha Wilson, Wednesday night. Coleman enters the game averaging 10.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, making 26 starts this season while Wilson is averaging 5.0 points and 2.2 rebounds per game as one of the team's key contributors off the bench.

Longwood: Entering Wednesday's game, guard Kyla McMakin represents the Lancers' leading scorer this season, averaging 18.3 points per game. During league play, she ranks second in the Big South, averaging 19.9 points per game, scoring in double-figures in each of Longwood's 16 conference games.
