Event Preview 
USC Upstate kicked off its 2022 campaign with a successful 37th annual Eye Opener at Roger Milliken Center where the men's cross country team finished third and the women's cross country team finished eighth.  

Noah White had his first top-10 finish of the season, coming in ninth with a time of 25:57.8. Heaven Allen finished just shy of the top-10, coming in 11th with a time of 19:26.8 which was a new personal best for her.  

The Spartan competed in the Firetower Project Open during the 2021 season when the men finished fifth and the women finished eighth. Several Spartans return to the course after running in the Firetower Project last season including Nigel Dos Santos who finished with a time of 27:27.16 and Allie Leavitt who set a new personal record of 19:07.91.  

Next UP 
After the Spartans compete in the Firetower Project Open they will compete in the Louisville Classic in Kentucky on Sat., October 1st and then return home to host the Upstate Invite on Sat., October 15th.
