Upstate Looks to Continue Home Winning Streak as it Hosts Top Conference Opponent Gardner-Webb

Series History 
USC Upstate and Gardner-Webb have a 10-game series history in which the Spartans trail 7-2 overall. The two teams originally met back in 2016 where Upstate fell 57-53 at home.  Upstate trails through the series, going 3-1 at home, 4-1 on the road, and 5-2 in conference play. Most recently Upstate downed the Runnin' Bulldogs 71-68 at home in the 2022-2023 season.

Players to Watch 
Upstate: Three Spartans scored in double-figures during Saturday's game against UNC Asheville, with Isabella Geraci leading the charge with 14 points. This was the ninth time Geraci scored in double-figures this season, while Rebekah Gordon (13 pts.) recorded double-figures for the seventh time and Zora Fray-Chinn (10 pts.) for the third time. 

Upstate maintained the lineup of Isabella Geraci, Rebekah GordonTrinity Johnson, Jeni Levine, and AC Markham. Geraci and Markham are the only two Spartans to start all 18 contests so far for the Spartans. Geraci leads the team for minutes played (582), points (181), three pointers (21), rebounds (133), and steals (29). 

Gardner-Webb: Four Runnin' Bulldogs scored in double-figures during Saturday's game against Winthrop, with Lauren Bevis leading the team with 19 points. Layken Cox (15), Jhessyka Williams (12), and Alasia Smith (11) also contributed points in the 74-54 win. Both Williams (11) and Smith (11) not only scored in double figures but recorded rebounds in double digits as well. Williams leads the Runnin' Bulldogs averaging 18.6 points per game, 372 points this season, and averaging 10.3 rebounds per game, 206 rebounds this season.
