SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Continuing the team's three-game road trip and looking to build upon the momentum of Wednesday's victory at East Carolina, USC Upstate men's basketball embarks on its longest travel of the season, heading to the Land of 10,000 Lakes to open the Spartans' portion of Midwest Madness against Minnesota Saturday.

USC Upstate: Leading a quintet of double-figure scores Wednesday at East Carolina, redshirt junior guard Trae Broadnax tied a career-high with 20 points behind a 64.3 shooting performance (9-of-14) while also pulling in six rebounds, dishing out three assists, and swiping two steals. He enters the weekend leading the Spartans in scoring, rebounding, and assists, averaging 14.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game while passing out 16 total assists. He also leads the Big South in assist to turnover ratio, passing out 5.33 assists per turnover.
 
Minnesota: Scoring 16 points Thursday night versus Missouri, junior forward Dawson Garcia upped his scoring average to 20.3 points per game as he ranks fifth in the Big 10 in scoring thus far this season. He's also averaging 9.7 rebounds per game as he averages a near double-double per night, posting one on the year. Also of note, Garcia enters Saturday's game averaging 35.4 minutes per game.

Gameday Parking
Fans attending USC Upstate basketball games in the coming weeks will notice a change in parking options. Parking for the general public will only be available in front of the Hodge Center as the rows adjacent to the building on the University Way side are closed due to renovation work to the Hodge Center roof. VIP parking for donors entering the Champions Suite behind the Arena is unaffected. Parking is free for all USC Upstate basketball games and the closure of the side lots around the building will be in effect indefinitely.
