Series History
USC Upstate and Longwood originally met back in 2009 when the Spartans claimed their first victory with a 71-59 in Farmville, Va. Upstate trails the overall series 6-5, while having a 3-2 record at home and trailing 4-2 on the road. In conference play, the Spartans trail 6-3. Earlier this season, the Spartans downed the Lancers 55-42 at home to claim their third straight Big South win at home. AC Markham led the Spartans that game as she earned her second double-double of the season.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Isabella Geraci had an exceptional week last week as she posted 48 points, had 17 rebounds, had six assists, and eight steals in 91 total minutes of play. Against Winthrop alone, Geraci scored 23 points on Saturday and 19 points on Sunday. Rebekah Gordon also posted some solid numbers last week with a combined 36 points, 16 rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and one block in 82 minutes of play.
Upstate switched up its starting five to take on Winthrop on Sunday, starting Isabella Geraci, Rebekah Gordon, Zora Fray-Chinn, Jeni Levine, and AC Markham. Geraci and Markham are the only two Spartans to start all 24 contests so far for the Spartans. Geraci leads the team for minutes played (794), points (252), three pointers (29), rebounds (177), and steals (45). Gordon helps lead the offense with 247 points, averaging 10.3 points per game and shooting .388% from the field. Along with Gordon and Geraci, Johnson (170), Roldan (105) and Markham (150) all sit with triple digit points on the season.
Longwood: Adriana Shipp-Davis and Janay Turner led the Lancers in scoring in Saturday's contest against the Panthers of High Point. Shipp Davis finished the game with 16 points, six rebounds, and one steal while Turner had 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal. Brooke Anya also contributed 13 points to the Lancers' 56-point game, along with eight rebounds, two steals, and one assist.

Up Next for the Spartans
Upstate will finish out the week hosting High Point on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans will get ready to finish the Big South Conference regular season with a final home game on Wednesday (2/22) against Presbyterian and a final road game on Saturday (2/25) against Gardner-Webb.
